About the service

Our collection service operates across Hampshire, within a 30 mile radius of our location (SO19 7HS). We operate using custom-made vehicles, which are designed to carry up to 14 cubic yards / 1 Tonne of wood waste (whichever comes first) per load.

A cost effective solution
More economical than skips
Our staff and volunteers hand-load the vehicles, ensuring a minimum of void space – we don’t just chuck the wood in randomly!
All wood is reused or recycled
We raise wood up the waste hierarchy, ensuring that no wood ends up in landfill
Reusing wood locks up carbon for longer and reduces demand for importing and transporting virgin wood
Reuse: Approximately 20% of the materials we collect are de-nailed and cleaned up by our volunteers ready for re-sale to the local community and for use in the creation of our furniture range
Recycle: The remaining 80% still gets recycled by going directly to a wood chipping facility and for further use in panel board manufacture or biomass energy production

What we collect

We collect and recycle anything* made from wood including :
Pallets, timber lengths up to 7m, sheet material (including MDF), fence panels, cable drums, crates, pallet collars, decking, etc
(*Note that we are unable to collect creosoted items)
